HOW FAST CAN WE GO & WHAT IF I AM NOT CONFIDENT IN MY MANUAL TRANS SHIFTING SKILLS?
Both are commonly asked questions.   How Fast?  Believe us you will get to go plenty fast. We start out the first lap slower & pick up speed every lap as long as you have good control of the race car & can run a good line around the track. The average first time drivers will attain lap times of 40 seconds. That's about 90 mph. Our quickest lap times are about 32 seconds, about 120 mph is the straight away. Anyone can run 120 right? The track has over 3420 feet of corners & only 1800 feet of straight away–Get the picture! Approximately only 5% of participants can run this fast. If you only average 65 mph the thrill & excitement is still beyond belief. We don't make speed an issue. This is all about having fun. 

Shifting Gears.  If your manual transmission skills are not current we have racecars with specially prepared automatic transmissions.  And rest assured, our customers tell us that taming the Monster experience is in no way diminished. 

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
To participate as a driver you must be 18 years old & possess a valid driver's license. Ride-a-long participants may "ride" at 14 years of age or older & 60 inches tall.You should also be in good health & have enough physical ability to enter & exit the race car of your own accord. We have cars sized appropriately to accommodate almost all size drivers to make you comfortable. We even have an automatic if you're a little rusty with a stick.

GUESTS:
We absolutely invite all your friends & relatives to join the excitement. They can spend the whole session with you in the pits (except while you're out on the racetrack) to make the day even more memorable. If your guests want to participate they can ride with one of our instructors for a thrill they will never forget. Before starting we will give the children & family a van ride around the racetrack. Guests under 18 may accompany parent into pits. Requires waiver signed by parent. While all are welcome, children must be under supervision by parent at all times, and young children lose interest quickly.

VIDEOS & PHOTOS:
You are welcome to bring video equipment to film during the day. All race cars have incredible "In-Car Video" cameras showcasing your driving skills. They include a professionally done intro before displaying your drive footage which captures your experience from leaving pit road til you exit your race car. And are available for purchase. They can take up to two weeks to receive after being ordered. Be careful, the in-car video has audio! We also have a professional photographer to take great shots on the racetrack, next to and in your race car.

WHAT TO BRING:
All safety equipment is provided including racing suit, helmet, & gloves. We recommend you wear long pants & comfortable shoes (tie-up shoes, such as tennis. No loafers or sandals). If you have your own suit or helmet feel free to bring them as long as they're approved. Sun glasses are optional. Coolers are allowed without glass bottles. Absolutely no alcohol is permitted. We maintain a snack and souvenir trailer. The media center in the pits is open for your enjoyment which is air conditioned and has rest rooms.

LODGING:
The City of Dover loves its racing. The track is located right in the center of Dover on US 13. It is a beautiful city with many things to see & do. There's also The Dover Air Force Base & Museum for WW II buffs. Right next to the track is the Dover Mall featuring great tax free shopping. Make reservations & come see us soon. GIFT CERTIFICATES:
What a wonderful present for the person who has everything! Gift certificates are available for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or anytime. They can be purchased even when you don't have a specific date in mind as an OPEN Date Certificate. They are good for one Year from date of purchase. Once presented the person receiving the gift calls 800 468 6946 and schedules their event. We can at your request, mail the certificate in a plain envelope to help keep the surprise. 

What About Rain in the Forecast,

Does That Mean the Event is Automatically Cancelled?

NO!!!!! Like any outdoor venue we will be there despite anyone's forcast of  the Weather.  We will make every effort to conduct the session as scheduled and look forward to you being there.  For the record, there are NO refunds given to no-shows and that would be your status if you are scheduled to drive, don't showup because of a weather forecast, and we conduct that day's event without you.  In the event of a rainout of a session, all participants scheduled, including no-shows, are returned to the unassigned pool with "new" one year in which to reschedule their driving. 

What is Monster Racing’s Refund Policy?

All driving experiences are sold with a 14 day 100% refund policy.  (Next day air charges are not included nor ever eligible for refund).  After 14 days from the date of receipt Monster Racing Enterprises Inc., reserves the right to deduct a $50.00 dollars administrative fee from the amount refunded.  This policy is amended during the period November 15th thru December 31st to allow for Holiday Gift Giving.  All driving gift certificates purchases during this period would be eligible for a 100% refund (excluding any next day air fees) until January 15th,  Purchases made with credit cards are always refunded to the credit card as a matter of policy.  No refunds of any amount are extended to expired certificates. No refund is made until the return of all certificates and related material is returned to us here at 26 Starlifter Avenue, Dover, DE 19901.

Purchases of Souvenirs and Photos are all final sales and no refunds are made.  Additionally, sales of DVD and VHS tapes are considered final sales with the exception of DVD’s or VHS tapes which fail to play.  Monster Racing reserves the right to refund the purchase price, less shipping and handling, or reproduce the DVD or VHS tape at it’s sole discretion.
